This college interest test is designed to assess your interests, where you would like to go to college and what subjects and points you intend to get for the LC. This knowledge will allow us to give personalised recommendations for CAO college courses.
Yes, the test often highlights courses you might not have previously thought about. By focusing on your individual interests it can suggest college courses outside of the usual options, broadening your choice and opening up new possibilities.
Currently, the website focuses on Irish college courses available through the CAO system. It will not give you recommendations of international colleges, PLCs, Tertiary degrees or apprenticeships in Ireland either. However, it is a very comprehensive guide to help you navigate over 1,500 CAO courses on offer currently.
Yes, if you tick this option when it is presented to you the recommendations that you are given will have taken this into account.
Yes, you will be able to log back into your findmycollegecourse.ie account at any stage during the current CAO cycle. You will be able to change much of the information to get different recommendations. You will not be able to resit the interest test however. This has been tailored to you. You will be able to change your points options, your levels options and even where you would like to go to college.
Yes, there is a one-time fee of €49.95 per student to access the test and receive your personalised college course recommendations. If you have a valid promo code, you can apply it at checkout for a discount. Please note that the promo code can only be used once for the entire process, and the fee is non-transferable to someone else.
All information you provide is processed in accordance with our general terms and conditions. We are fully GDPR compliant, meaning your data is securely handled and not stored in a way that would personally identify you after the test is completed.
You cannot retake the interest test once it’s completed, as it’s tailored specifically to you. However, you can log back into your account during the current CAO cycle to update your points, levels, or preferred college location and receive updated recommendations.
